MSI Delivers Yet Another Gaming Laptop

This one, GX600, is based on Intel\'s Santa Rosa Mobile platform & Nvidia\'s GeForce 8600M GT.

MSI has announced an Intel powered gaming laptop to extend the company's GX series.

MSI's gaming laptop family already comprises of the AMD powered GX610 series laptops. These GX610 notebooks use AMD Turion X2 processor, ATi RX690+SB600 chipset, 15.4-inch WSXGA+/WXGA ACV (Amazing Crystal Vision) Display and 256MB ATi Mobility Radeon HD 2600 GPU.

To continue its dominance in the performance and gaming laptop segment, MSI has launched another laptop model - the GX600 powered by Intel solutions. The MSI GX600 will be based on the latest range of Core 2 Duo processors featuring 800MHz FSB and Mobile PM965 Express chipset. In short, the GX600 is all about Santa Rosa platform coupled with DirectX 10 compliant 512MB Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics. The notebook can hold up to 4GB of DDR2 667MHz RAM and 15.4-inch WSXGA+/WXGA ACV(Amazing Crystal Vision) display.

Innovations in the GX600:

The GX600 features MSI's Turbo Drive Engine Technology. While the GX600 is in CPU Turbo mode users can increase the speed of the CPU and system up by 20%. The Turbo mode can be activate/deactivated by the simple push of a button which is located above the keyboard. While on battery, pressing of the same silver turbo button switches the notebook to Power-Saving mode, extending battery time by 15%!
